He prefers dark colours like navy and grey and black – though sometimes his mother forces him into dark greens and lighter blues. Unlike his father he can also see the perk in wearing Muggle clothing (especially in London). He favours tailor made suits and shirts. He strongly dislikes the Indian fashion, though after being forced to wear it on vacation, he does not seem to be able to shake the habit of putting on some of their traditional clothes when lounging around the flat as they're comfortable beyond anything else. He'd never ever be seen in this though.

Personality

First Impression (others have of you): Haughty, self assured, a bit arrogant. He can if he wants to be, a charmer, especially with women.
General Behaviour: He's arrogant, haughty, thinks he's better than people in general. He's easily bored and in need of entertainment. He wants things to be fast paced and fun and bore quickly if they're not. He's also quite protective of his sisters and of Reagan Montague (who in his younger years stupidly considers as sort of an extra sister).
Strengths: Strong sense of morals (not always the same as everyone else's though), confident, smart, clever. He doesn't make idle threats, and rarely if ever resorts to violence (if he does, you don't want to end up on the other side of his wand).
Weaknesses: His arrogance. He underestimates people, and is sometimes blind to what is right in front of him.
Habits: He flies when he's got a lot on his mind, smokes (mostly at parties or when others do though sometimes to help him think), talk to his horse (in Arabic because the horse is Arabian, and so that no one else will be able to understand.)

Family History: The Nott family is old and acknowledged wizarding family, right up in the leage with the Malfoys and the Blacks. As one of Britain's most prominent pureblood families it is part of the absolute aristocracy of the wizarding world. With the name came estates and money and power.

The Patils are just as aristocratic as the Notts back in India, though Nathaniel has learnt that it means little in Britain. For him though the heritage is something he's proud of, and he quite often mentions having bloodlines running back to Alexander the Great.
Pets: An Indian Eagle Owl named Anil he got when he started Hogwarts, and a Crup named Devi, his horse Chandra – a brilliantly white Arabian mare.

* The Chimaera which attacked him never attacked him at all.

* When he was younger he had an instant disliking (fear) of cats. He doesn't know why and finds it embarrassing.

* He manipulated his language tutor into teaching him Arabic without his parents knowledge because he wanted to know a language that no one else knew.

* He talks to his horse as if she was a person, always in Arabic, and usually so no one can hear.
